COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Provide Employment Support for NDIS Participants course. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to support NDIS participants in achieving their employment goals.

Employment plays a crucial role in enhancing independence, financial stability, and overall well-being for individuals with disabilities. This section introduces the framework of NDIS employment support services, emphasising the importance of employment in improving participant outcomes and outlining the key roles and responsibilities of service providers.

Understanding the various employment-related supports offered under the NDIS is essential. This section explores capacity-building supports for skill development, core supports for day-to-day workplace assistance, and the flexibility provided within NDIS funding to align with individual employment goals.

The introduction of the new pricing framework for employment supports brings significant changes to service delivery. This section provides an overview of the pricing arrangements, including group-based support models, participant ratios, and the transition to the new pricing structure, ensuring compliance and efficiency in service provision.

Developing and managing effective service agreements is a cornerstone of employment support. You will learn about the key components of these agreements, how to align them with employment contracts, and the importance of maintaining thorough documentation for compliance and transparency.

Programs of support provide structure and measurable outcomes for employment services. This section details how to establish goals and deliverables within 12-week cycles, monitor participant progress, and make necessary adjustments to meet evolving needs.

Customising supports for individual participants is critical to ensuring meaningful outcomes. This section highlights the importance of on-the-job assessments, tailoring roles and responsibilities, and aligning support with participant-specific employment goals.

Supporting diverse employment settings, such as Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs), private and public sectors, and self-employment opportunities, requires adaptability. You will explore strategies to support participants across various work environments, including roles in social enterprises.

Capacity-building strategies help participants develop the skills needed to achieve and sustain employment. This section focuses on skill development, behavioural interventions, and career planning, with an emphasis on long-term career progression and resilience.

Group-based supports are an integral part of employment services. This section covers effective supervision techniques, equitable resource allocation, and best practices for managing participant groups in shared employment environments.

Peer support workers play a valuable role in employment programs. You will learn how to identify, train, and incorporate peer support workers into your service delivery, while balancing their roles with supervisory responsibilities.

Workplace adjustments and reasonable accommodations are critical to creating inclusive employment environments. This section explores how to identify the need for adjustments, collaborate with employers, and secure funding to implement these changes.

Supporting participants in remote and regional areas requires innovative approaches. This section addresses pricing and logistical challenges, barriers to employment, and how to leverage community resources to create opportunities in less accessible locations.

Non-face-to-face activities are increasingly important in providing employment support. You will learn how to plan, monitor, and report participant progress remotely, ensuring continuity of service even in non-physical settings.

Barriers to sustained employment, such as complex behaviours, mental health challenges, and environmental obstacles, can impact success. This section provides strategies to address these barriers and support participants in maintaining long-term employment.

Legal and regulatory compliance is foundational to effective service delivery. This section covers adherence to NDIS standards, understanding the NDIS Act, and meeting requirements under employment and disability legislation.

Data collection and reporting ensure accountability and continuous improvement. This section details how to maintain accurate records, report progress to participants and the NDIA, and prepare for audits and reviews.

Evaluating the effectiveness of employment supports is crucial for achieving participant goals. This section provides guidance on measuring progress, reviewing programs for improvement, and using feedback to enhance service quality.

Finally, promoting participant choice and control underpins all NDIS services. This section focuses on encouraging participants to explore employment options, supporting informed decision-making, and ensuring flexibility in employment supports to meet their unique aspirations.

By the end of this course, you will be equipped to deliver effective, person-centred employment support for NDIS participants, enabling them to achieve their goals and thrive in the workplace.

Each section is complemented with examples to illustrate the concepts and techniques discussed.

Pretty good for the price.
Set name: Sublimation Printer
So far so good. I have been producing a fair amount of items to date. My only wish was that the colors were more vibrant with this printer and it's ink.

Sawgrass printers are the best
Model: SG1000
Love this printer, it is my 3rd one. Makes sublimating smaller projects very easy and I don't waste as much blank paper when doing smaller prints. Plus the Sawgrass ink cartridges are absolutely the easiest to use for this medium. I do recommend NOT using it wireless and plugging in direct, I feel like the prints are better overall that way. Nice crisp prints, vivid colors, moderate saturation on the prints.

Top Printer
Model: SG1000
This printer is strictly a Sublimation printer. It is not for regular printing. Once it is set up, it works really great and provides good quality prints. The drawbacks are.... the ink cartridges are pretty expensive. And it is somewhat of a challenge getting it set up and ready to use. It will not work unless it is connecting directly through a 2.4ghz signal. If you can work through those challenges, it is a great printer.
