The Outbreak of WWII in Europe caused the U.S. Army to recognize it was lacking an effective tank force. Design of the Medium Tank M3 commenced in July 1940, with production beginning in December, and the first units became operational in late 1941. Experiments were carried out on specialized conversions, one of which was the T16 prime mover, which was chosen as the basis for testing a tank recovery vehicle by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1942. These tests ultimately lead to the T2, with some 805 units being converted by December 1943. These vehicles became known as the M31 Tank Recovery Vehicle, the first vehicle of its type to be standardized in the U.S. Army.

The M31 was based on the Medium Tank M3. To keep up the appearances of a combat tank, the sponson-mounted 75mm gun was replaced by a hinged entry door fitted with a dummy gun tube, and the 37mm gun in the turret was replaced with a crane. The turret was rotated to the rear when not in use, and a dummy 37mm tube was attached to the turret rear. The turret machine gun cupola was replaced with the British hatch arrangement used on the Grant. The crane could lift 10,000lbs (4500kg) without the supporting boom jacks extended, 12,000lbs (5400kg) with the jacks attached to the hull front, or 30,000lbs (14,000kg) with the support legs on the ground. A 60,000lb (27,000kg) capacity Gar Wood winch was installed inside the fighting compartment, with the cable spooled out of the turret and over the crane boom or out the rear of the TRV. Tool boxes were also installed on the rear sponsons and above the dummy 75mm gun.

Tough
Size: Large, Color: Dinos Frills (Pink)
Tough dog toy that's held up through multiple washes! My dogs love the squeaker. They are not destructive chewers so I can't really say how it would hold up with that kind of dog though.

Cute and well made my dogs love it.
Size: Mini, Color: Gator (Pink)
Cute little toy definatly for small toy sized dogs. This toy is bright and colorful and well made. My little dog likes it very much and tosses it around all the time. Great toy for fetch.

Squeaker inside toy breaks after 2 days
Size: Mini, Color: Gator (Pink)
Bought for my 8 lb chihuahua for Christmas. I have 3 little girls. The youngest loves her toys and of course she took this one over immediately. She just loved everything about it. The material on the gator is amazingly durable and I believe would hold up for a good while. The squeaker inside the toy however, broke after 2 days of my girl playing with it. It's now a noiseless toy that she does not like too much as it does not squeak because it only had the one squeaker in it. I would recommend that 2 squeakers be inserted into this gator. I would not purchase again due to the longevity of the squeaker...only lasted 2 days.

Go dog toys are the best!
Size: Large, Color: Dinos Frills (Pink)
These are the only stuffed toys I buy for my Pittie because they are so well made. Even when she unstuffs them, she plays with them forever!

My dog loves these toys.
Size: Mini, Color: Gator (Pink)
Not a huge toy, nor is my dog. But we have lots of goDog toys. Practically indestructible and my dog likes to carry these in his mouth and bring them onto the foot of our bed. Brilliant colors and good squeaker but my dog is afraid of the squeak. Fair value for cost.
