Across time, this rugged topography has been home to an astonishing variety of people: Sauk, Dakota, and Ho-Chunk villagers, Norwegian farmers and Mexican mercado owners, Dominican nuns and Buddhist monks, river raftsmen and Shakespearean actors, Cornish miners and African American barn builders, organic entrepreneurs and Hmong truck gardeners. The Driftless Reader gathers writings that highlight the unique natural and cultural history, landscape, and literature of this region that encompasses southwestern Wisconsin and adjacent Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. The more than eighty selected texts include writings by Black Hawk, Mark Twain, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Frank Lloyd Wright, Aldo Leopold, David Rhodes, and many other Native people, explorers, scientists, historians, farmers, songwriters, journalists, and poets. Paintings, photographs, maps, and other images complement the texts, providing a deeper appreciation of this region's layered natural and human history. Your dogs will love them!

I’m giving this five stars because it was exactly what they claimed it would be. The only negative is our small Papillon tore these to shreds. perhaps, all cloth style toys would be the same.

Not advertised for chewers and it isn’t.

As a play toy for tugging and fetching it would be fantastic. Chew toy? Not so much. In five minutes our 9 month old English Springer Spaniel tore off a foot and started eating the cellophane. Took it from him and removed the cellophane from the leg and trimmed the shredded foot.
Gave it back and he chewed off an ear and started on the neck. Had to throw it out. It’s a shame because the price was good, the characters are cute and the squeaker is loud and generates excitement.
For non-chewers I highly recommend. For chewers, look elsewhere.

Dogs loved them they don't last in my house . Dogs love to chew open and remove squeaky. So , I do recommend keep an eye on chewers.
