Première Cuvée Extra Brut - MV

Based on the 2015 vintage, the latest release of Paillard's NV Extra-Brut Première Cuvée was disgorged in August 2019. Opening in the glass with delicate aromas of pear, crisp orchard fruit, brioche, white flowers, citrus zest and nutmeg, it's still youthfully tightly wound, with a medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive profile that's impeccably balanced. Elegant and precise to my palate, this is more about potential today, as real complexity is waiting in the wings. The only thing required is a bit of patience.

 

Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru - MV

Disgorged in June 2018, Bruno Paillard's NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is based on the 2013 vintage. Youthfully tightly wound, even after two years on cork, it unfurls in the glass with notes of crisp yellow orchard fruit, elderflowers, honeycomb and warm shortbread. Medium to full-bodied, chiseled and incisive, it's racy and concentrated, with tangy acids, a refined mousse and a long, electric finish. Produced from 36 parcels in Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger, this is an utterly classic Blanc de Blancs built for long aging.

 

Blanc de Noirs - MV

From four grand cru villages around the Montagne de Reims, this Champagne has a toasty aroma and a rich, structured style. While dry, it is also rich and full, the wine's fruit now softened with some bottle age.
