Following the Rock*A*Teens' 2014 reunion at the Merge 25 festival and the reissue of their last LP Sweet Bird of Youth, the group returned to touring and playing live. Restless with the need to move forward, the band began writing and recording new music. Guided by a batch of home recordings and demos, songwriter and lead singer/guitarist Christopher Lopez, guitarist Justin Hughes, bassist William R. Joiner, and drummer Ballard Lesemann convened with Tim Delaney at Electron Gardens Studio and Rafael Pereira at Tribo Studios to shape their ideas into the glorious, bombastic new album Sixth House.

Looks amazing!

Very straight forward to build. Mine was not hard but to a bit more effort because my ceiling is at an angle so I had to get a little creative. I cut a piece of wood and placed it between the ceiling and one of the arms for it to be even. It’s also not completely even cause I didn’t have a long level but still looks amazing.

Very easy to put up and assemble!

We were looking for a nice shelf over our coffee bar, and this industrial pipe shelf was perfect! This was very easy to assemble! Simply put in your anchors and screw in the bases! We ordered the three tier shelf but only needed two, and it was very easy to make that adjustment! I loved that this was solid wood shelving rather than particle board.

beautiful and sturdy

The shelf is beautiful and sturdy. The only small complaint are the instructions to put it together are deceiving because pieces were put together for shipping purposes (we assume) but didn't actually go together which took us a few times to figure out. I recommend putting it together off the wall before trying it on the wall so you know what pieces go where.

Cheaply made

I would not recommend this shelf. There are no instructions included - just a simple drawing of putting it together but nowhere says what drill bit size to use for the plastic anchors which are square on the end and not round. In addition, you cannot fully tighten the iron brackets or they won’t alight on the wall to hang the shelf. Each piece of metal piping has part of the black coating stripped off as well. And on top of that, the bottom of each shelf is unfinished and looks as though they used a filler to hide holes in the shelf. Not worth the money or the hassle.
