De bijzondere wijnen van Lenotti worden in het noorden van Italië gemaakt. De wijngaarden liggen rondom het Gardameer, vlakbij het wijndorp Bardolino. Lenotti is in 1906 opgericht en vanaf dat moment heeft het een uitstekende reputatie van lokale wijnen. Innovatie is een belangrijk onderdeel bij het wijnhuis en in 2005 hebben zij een gehele renovatie en modernisering van het vinificatieproces, de vatenopslag en de botteling installatie uitgevoerd. Zo is Giancarlo Lenotti (pater familias en oenoloog) bij de botteling installatie in staat met een beduidend lagere hoeveelheid sulfiet te werken. Positief gevolg hiervan is dat de wijnen hun oorspronkelijke aroma’s tot in het glas weet te bewaren. De wijnproducent heeft een groot aantal eigen wijngaarden en heeft kwaliteit zeer hoog in het vaandel staan. Lenotti produceert naast gangbare wijnen ook bekende topwijnen uit Veneto als bijvoorbeeld Ripasso en Amarone. Voor zijn Pinot Grigio heeft Lenotti de druiven aangeplant ten Noorden van het Lago di Garda. Omdat er vroeger geoogst wordt heeft de wijn een droger karakter dan zijn Franse naamgenoot Pinot Gris uit de Elzas. In Veneto zijn het droge levendige bescheiden wijnen. Lenotti`s Pinot Grigio is een bleekgele wijn met een exotisch fruitaroma. Het valt allemaal te herkennen in de geur en smaak van deze droge frisse evenwichtige wijn met goede elegante zuren. Wat een heerlijke Pinot Grigio, echt een feest om te drinken. Met in de geur een prachtig boeket van peer, meloen en ananas maar ook wat kleine tonen van mineralen en citrus fruit. In de smaak is deze Lenotti Pinot Grigio fris droog, zeer evenwichtig en elegant. Met zijn aroma's van rode appel, peer, meloen en kleine nuances van limoen en kruisbes. Very good ... but beware.

First of all I just want to point out all of the reviews from people who claim that the bottle arrived damaged or open and in some cases ruined the other products shipped in the same box. Amazon will not issue a refund for that, which is absurd. My bottle arrived in good shape although the top was loose - not a big deal. The formula itself I find to be the best out there. I used to buy Pennington, which until this year was a deep red, now it is a light orange. The hummers will not stomach it. This product is better than the older version of the other brand.
Taking one star off for all of those people who got a damaged bottle that would not be refunded.

Quickly accepted by our local hummingbirds.

I used this in a red hanging hummingbird feeder on a second-floor shaded balcony. The feeder had only been up a short time, and the nectar was accepted quickly. I observed hummingbirds visiting, perching, and drinking from the active lower tiers, so the product clearly did not discourage feeding.
What I like most is the convenience. It is ready to pour, clear, and does not require mixing sugar and water. I also appreciate that it is not dyed red. The feeder itself provides enough red visual attraction, so colored liquid is not necessary. For a small balcony feeder, I only needed to fill the reservoirs about halfway, which helped keep the nectar fresh and reduced waste.
A few practical notes: I still treat this like any hummingbird nectar and replace it regularly rather than letting it sit for many days. Even in shaded, mild weather, I would rather keep the feeder clean and fresh. The bottle should also be stored properly after opening.
Overall, this is a good option if you want a simple ready-to-use nectar without mixing your own. Homemade sugar water is cheaper, but this is convenient, clean-looking, and in my case the hummingbirds used it. I would recommend it for someone who wants an easy pour-and-fill option, especially for a smaller feeder or balcony setup.

Hummingbirds love it… ants do too 🐦🐜

This nectar definitely does what it’s supposed to do — the hummingbirds found it fast and keep coming back, which is exactly what I wanted. It’s easy to use and convenient compared to mixing your own.
The only downside is that ants seem to love it just as much as the birds. If you’re using this, I’d definitely recommend pairing it with an ant moat or being mindful of where you hang your feeder.
Overall, it works great and brings in plenty of hummingbirds — just be prepared to outsmart a few tiny freeloaders along the way.
