The struggle for control of the Mississippi River was the longest and most complex campaign of the Civil War. It was marked by an extraordinary diversity of military and naval operations, including fleet engagements, cavalry raids, amphibious landings, pitched battles, and the two longest sieges in American history. Every existing type of naval vessel, from sailing ship to armored ram, played a role, and military engineers practiced their art on a scale never before witnessed in modern warfare. Union commanders such as Grant, Sherman, Farragut, and Porter demonstrated the skills that would take them to the highest levels of command. When the immense contest finally reached its climax at Vicksburg and Port Hudson in the summer of 1863, the Confederacy suffered a blow from which it never recovered. Here was the true turning point of the Civil War. This fast-paced, gripping narrative of the Civil War struggle for the Mississippi River is the first comprehensive single-volume account to appear in over a century. Vicksburg Is the Key: The Struggle for the Mississippi River tells the story of the series of campaigns the Union conducted on land and water to conquer Vicksburg and of the many efforts by the Confederates to break the siege of the fortress. William L. Shea and Terrence J. Winschel present the unfolding drama of the campaign in a clear and readable style, correct historic myths along the way, and examine the profound strategic effects of the eventual Union victory. William L. Shea is a professor of history at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is the coauthor of Pea Ridge: Civil War Campaign in the West. Terrence J. Winschel is a historian at Vicksburg National Military Park. His books include Triumph and Defeat: The Vicksburg Campaign.Binding Type: Paperback

Good product
Size: Pack of 10, Set name: Classic
Very strong citronella smell. The scent lasts much longer than what the product says. Overall better than I thought would be.

Protected
Size: Pack of 10, Set name: Classic
The Cliganic Mosquito Bracelets are amazing to use & are super comfortable. So much so I forget they’re there most of the time. I go to the mountains a lot & during this time of year I get eaten alive by Mosquitos. When I first wore these it worked instantly. I wore one on my ankle and wrist for good measure. My friends didn’t want them because they said “I don’t get bitten” but when they seen how protected I was they were quick to change their minds. Now they buy these too and I don’t go up to the mountains without them.

Highly recommend!!
Size: Pack of 10, Set name: Classic
I bought these for camping and hiking. They lasted about a day for each bracelet before they started to lose smell. We did not find any ticks on us and no bug bites! Already purchased more for our next trip! Highly recommend!!

3.5 stars

These bracelets work but with caveats. I got them because sometimes I want to take quick walks outside, but don't want to put on sticky big spray and have to shower 2x a day because of the spray. Enter these bracelets.
1st caveat: they fairly quickly decrease in efficacy, which makes me feel guilty for creating so much non compostable/recyclable waste relatively quickly. I have a neighbor with a swampy pool that causes a bunch of mosquitos in the neighborhood in the summer. Without the bracelets, I got 14 bites when going outside for 1 hour. With the bracelets (1st wear and one per limb), I got none.
2nd caveat: I have found that I need 1 bracelet per limb in order to avoid bites. For a nighttime Joshua tree stargazing outing with a friend, we each only put one on and both got bit up like crazy. Later, I gave the bracelets another chance. I put one on each elbow and one on each knee. Wore them and then put them back in the pouches for later use. No bites. Used them a 2nd and 3rd time with no bites, but got 4 bites today with the 4th use, which indicates they're at their effective end of life at around 3 or 4 wears.
Overall, they work if you make sure you have a little citronella bubble around you by putting one on each limb, but they generate a relatively large amount of waste for the amount of protection they provide, and the protection itself can be spotty. If your only goal is to not use chemical spray on your skin, these bracelets meet it. If your goal is solely to not get bit, spray might be a better choice.

Great gift for keeping the mosquitoes away!
Size: Pack of 10, Set name: Classic
My significant other loves to take hikes in the woods and for now, it is bug free, but that won't last long here in Minnesota! I gave him these insect repellent bracelets before and he really appreciated them. He doesn't like spraying bug repellant on himself or his clothing, so these bracelets are the ticket for him! I tucked them in a gift bag along with some trail mix for his next hiking adventure. He loved them! You will, too!
