Bears are commonly misquoted. That's what Frank B. Linderman concluded after spending most of his life in the wild. In Big Jinny Linderman lets a little grizzly cub speak for herself, and Jinny has plenty to say. This is Jinny's story about growing up in the Montana wilderness, where every day promises adventure, mischief--and danger. She and her brother cub, Jim, learn from their mother about eating, playing, avoiding certain animals--and, most important of all, minding their own business. But when Jinny wakes up from her first hibernation, curiosity tempts her to ignore this most important lesson and travel far from home, minding everybody else's business while learning a few new lessons about what it is to be a grizzly bear. Big Jinny's story, steeped in nature lore and illustrated with Elizabeth Lochrie's lush watercolors, leads readers young and old on an enchanting adventure through the wilds of western America even as they learn, with Jinny, how grizzlies really live.Binding Type: Paperback

A Bold, Edgier Take on the Man of Steel
Format: Paperback
“Absolute Superman” reimagines the Man of Steel in a darker alternate universe where Earth is dominated by the Lazarus Corporation and enforced by the Peacemakers, an organization that bears an unsettling resemblance to modern immigration authorities. In this version, Kal-El arrives from Krypton not as an infant, but as a young man accompanied by an AI companion. After a brief stay with the Kents, he is reported as an illegal alien and becomes a fugitive, hunted by the Peacemakers. Adding an intriguing twist, Lois Lane is among those pursuing him.
This is a grittier, more morally complex Superman than the hopeful, sunny figure many readers may expect, but the reinterpretation is compelling. The collected volume, “The Last Dust of Krypton,” gathers the first five issues of the series and features striking artwork by Rafa Sandoval and others. Jason Aaron’s storytelling is thoughtful and engaging, making this a strong entry point into a bold reimagining of the character.
