It’s 1789, and Benjamin Franklin has an idea. Anticipating danger in the future, he discusses creating a secret amendment to the US constitution with Thomas Jefferson. The amendment contains instructions on how the American people can recall a rogue president. Jefferson doesn’t need much convincing and after he buries the amendment deep in a White House vault, it passes through history, forgotten.

It’s 2022, and President Bribe is out of control in Washington DC. Not far away, on July 4, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington mysteriously awaken at Monticello and Mount Vernon. Confused about their circumstances, they sneak away from their magnificent homes. Meeting a few days later under the Washington Monument, the founders commence an epic adventure, traveling the country together, while being pursued by a PI and the FBI for a theft Jefferson purportedly committed at Monticello. They wonder why they’ve been brought back, does their nation need them again?

Everyone asks at some point,

“What would the founders think about all this?”

In a genre-bending debut novel,

My Grandchildren LOVED this!
Format: Hardcover
I read this out loud to my two grandchildren ages 4 and 6 at bedtime. They're so excited to be reading a chapter book and they LOVED it! The book's quirky sense of humor is great and it was fun to hear the kids giggle. We loved how the sloth appears in each story. They couldn't wait for the next night to read. Mr Angleberger- please write more!!!

Got my 8 year old to read!
Format: Hardcover
My eight year old hated reading and refused to pick up any book, until this arrived in the mail. He as usual refused at first to read it but I made him read a couple of pages, which he did and put it down but the next day he asked to read it and read the entire book in 30 mins. He said he loved it and it was really funny. Already have the 2nd book on its way.

This book is adorable, fantastic
Format: Hardcover
This book is adorable, fantastic! I bought it for a 6 year old boy - he loved it - and his 10 year old brother loved it just as much. The three of us read it together and laughed out loud! It is written for a K - 1 - 2 grade level. Just wonderful! Kudos to the writer and illustrator! We're really looking forward to book #2!
