Over Cascina Ghercina
In 1871, het jaar waarin Rome de hoofdstad van Italië werd, begon de familie Sartirano haar geschiedenis in de wijnproductie. Trouw aan de Piemontese principes en waarden, waar werk en eerlijkheid de basis zijn van een goed leven, produceren zij lokale wijnen, zoals Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo en Barolo. Vandaag de dag zet de vierde generatie Sartirano de activiteit van de familiekelder voort, met steeds nieuwe en ambitieuze projecten, maar met behoud van de focus op traditie en kwaliteit. Cascina Ghercina is een merk dat door de familie Sartirano wordt gebruikt ter ere van het meer dat in het centrum van het landgoed Novello ligt en dat bijdraagt aan een uitzonderlijk microklimaat voor de wijnbouw.
Vinificatie
Koude schilinweking gedurende 24 uur met lichte persing bij 2 graden Celcius. Fermentatie gedurende 8 dagen in roestvrijstalen vaten onder druk, daarna een maand verfijning op gist. Filtering en botteling bij lage temperatuur.

Great For Dog Park Fun -- The Ball Goes Flying

I love this thing. It's super well made and It enables me to chuck a ball the entire length of the dog park (I'm a 65 yr old woman with a wimpy arm). My dog is thrilled too. At first I thought it might be too heavy, but that's just not an issue, the weight is fine. For non-throwers like me someone at the dog park gave me a tip --- just look at the area you want to throw the ball. Helped my aim immensely.
The 2.5 inch chuck it ball it comes with is my dog's absolute *favorite* . . . it's her security blanket in the kennel while driving, and it's her favorite ball to chase (the only one she'll actually bring back). She loves to chew it and to squish the air out of it, which takes a little effort.

Great tool!

Ok - so I do not have a dog!!! I purchased this item for a completely different purpose! I saw someone using this to gather eggs!! I often go to my daughter and son-in-law's homestead to carry out the chores when they need to be out of town! Well, I am a bit on the short side (4'11") and some of the hens KNOW that a short person is going to be gathering eggs!!! I simply could not reach all of the eggs in a couple of the nesting boxes! So, after seeing someone else use this ball launcher as an egg retriever, I bought one! I am now able to reach ALL of the eggs - one at a time with no breakage! It was a game changer for me.
I am sure that it works equally well for dog play!!!

Essential kit for those with fetch dogs
Size: 18in, Style: Sport
Now in our 3rd year, my Brittany and I are down to about 40 fetch tosses a day, some 14,600 tosses a year. The Chuck It launcher wears well, so, figure at least 5 years of use, for 73,000 tosses. That makes for a terrific value!
There are several key benefits of the Chuck It launchers: One is that you can chuck the ball further than you can throw, which allows you to exercise your dog more easily. The second is that you can pick up and launch the ball without touching it, which means NO slime! And, the Chuck It also gives extra reach when you have to retrieve a ball from sticker brambles.
Those are great features for anyone with a fetch dog. If you also happen to have a weak arm or shoulder, the Chuck It launchers provide nice throwing options. I generally throw underhanded. I can't get the full potential range, that way, but, I still get good, long tosses. I curl my second finger above the last bump on the handle, and use a good wrist flick along with arm swing. I've seen others throw side-arm with the Chuck It.
I had originally written a second review for the longer 25M Chuck It. Either I, or Amazon messed up, and it looks like I can have only this one review. So, here are my additional thoughts on the 25M: I bought the 25M so that I could throw the ball even further! The good news is, you really can chuck further, with the longer chucker. The bad news is, those longer throws do require more arm and shoulder strength than when using the 18M. This becomes more obvious when you've done 3 or 4 dozen throws. I would recommend the 25M only for those with the youth and/or strength to get the most out of it. Otherwise, I'd say, go with the 18M.
