Protecting your personal data is important to us. This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics tools. Below we explain which data is nevertheless processed when you visit this website and what rights you have.

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, your browser automatically transmits information to the server, which is stored in so-called server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file requested
- previously visited page (referrer URL)
- browser and operating system used
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website). This data is not combined with other data sources. The log files are not stored for longer than necessary for these purposes. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
3. No cookies, no tracking
We do not set cookies and do not use any analytics, advertising or tracking services. Fonts, images and videos are loaded exclusively from our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties (e.g. Google) in the process. Your language choice is kept only in the page address (“?lang=en”), not in a cookie.
4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your enquiry) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for handling your request, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Donations
Bank transfer: If you donate by bank transfer, we receive from our bank the details you provide with the transfer (name, IBAN, amount, reference). We process this data to record the donation and, where applicable, to issue a donation receipt. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR; the data is stored in accordance with statutory tax and commercial retention obligations.
PayPal: Our donation page links to PayPal. Only when you click the link are you redirected to the website of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg, where PayPal's privacy policy applies. We receive from PayPal the details needed to record the donation (name, email address, amount).
6. WhatsApp group
The WhatsApp button on our website is a simple link. Merely visiting our website does not transmit any data to WhatsApp. Only when you click the link are you redirected to WhatsApp, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. If you join the group, your phone number and profile name are visible to the other group members. WhatsApp's privacy policy applies.
7. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser's address bar.
